Rikki L. Quintana, who grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico , earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Mexico in 1977, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.  She received her Juris Doctor degree from Stanford Law School in 1980, where she was awarded the Franklin Prize in International Law.  Ms. Quintana is a member of the State Bars of California and New Mexico , the Albuquerque Bar Association, the New Mexico State Bar Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee, the New Mexico Health Law and Business Law Sections, the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association and the American Health Lawyers Association.  During her career, Ms. Quintana has practiced in the areas of commercial and healthcare business transactions, real estate, corporate law and corporate finance in the Newport Beach, California office of a national law firm, as well as in Albuquerque, New Mexico .  She is rated bv by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.*  Ms. Quintana currently practices in the areas of real estate and commercial business transactions, corporate and non-profit structures, health law, and complex commercial and employment litigation.  Her broad practice includes representation of small and medium-sized local and regional businesses, as well as large multi-state companies, in a variety of transactions, including business entity formation; acquisition, financing, development and disposition of real estate, assets and business operations; structuring of health care transactions to comply with federal Stark and anti-kickback laws and New Mexico licensing requirements; and creation and administration of nonprofit organizations.  She also devotes a significant portion of her practice to appellate work and briefing dispositive motions in complex civil litigation matters.  Ms. Quintana is also a trained mediator.
